Huawei showcases its latest at Milan Spring Event

Huawei showcased its remarkable progress in products and HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) at its annual Spring Event in Milan.

HMS has received a number of updates in order to enhance and strengthen its Huawei ecosystem.

Huawei Browser, Huawei Books, Huawei Video and Petal Search have all been optimized for the bigger screen with Smart Multi-Window.  Multi-window and floating window support, together with AI tools have been updated to integrate and optimize the folded or unfolded screen that’s in use.

On the Huawei Mate Xs 2, apps can be displayed in a dual-window layout with Smart Multi-Window.

Huawei’s Mobile Cloud on the Huawei Mate Xs 2 has been enhanced to create a seamless data experience through features such as automatic backups, cross-device syncing of data, Find Device and more. 

Huawei’s AI web layout optimization feature optimizes the web page content on the foldable device to deliver an improved reader experience.  

Huawei Books has utilized the folding technology of Huawei Mate Xs to deliver a “double page turning” interface which simulates the look and feel of traditional books.

Petal Maps, Huawei’s navigation portal has been updated and optimized for the foldable screen.  These updates include a series of map layers, 3D effects for well-known landmarks and a colour classification system that facilitates easier and clearer reading.  This latest update has a lighting effect in dark mode that shows traffic and building lights, further enhancing a realistic user experience.  With lane-level guidance, lane-specific information and arrows, users are offered a better vantage point of their surroundings.  A further feature is the personalized skins that have been superimposed for the seasons of the year and with the inclusion of temperature and precipitation layers, drivers are treated to a better rendition of driving conditions.
