All these health and fitness features will be viewable on any Huawei device and tracked on smartwatches.

Foldable Smartphone Shipments Increase by 571% in Q1

According to the latest DSCC data, Foldable Smartphones continue to display very high growth rates, with Q1 of this year ending on a 571% growth rate versus the previous year’s quarter. Sales for Q1 were 2,22 million shipments. Although not a record for quarterly sales, this puts the trajectory of shipments for the year on a very positive sales track.

In Q1, clamshells continued to dominate with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 maintaining its leadership position and accounting for just over half of all sales at 51%.

This share was followed by Galaxy Z Fold 3 in number two position. With its other foldable devices, Samsung continued to dominate the market by achieving a 74% share.

Oppo A77 5G – The newest budget smartphone from Oppo

The demand for 5G smartphones is growing at an accelerating pace and the latest launch from Oppo hits the sweet spot, with Oppo A77 5G offering superior features and stylish looks at an affordable price tag.

The display is a large 6,56 inches HD+ LCD screen, with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness. The colour intensity and quality is superb, with 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut being covered.

Huawei showcases its latest at Milan Spring Event

Huawei showcased its remarkable progress in products and HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) at its annual Spring Event in Milan.

HMS has received a number of updates in order to enhance and strengthen its Huawei ecosystem.

Huawei Browser, Huawei Books, Huawei Video and Petal Search have all been optimized for the bigger screen with Smart Multi-Window. Multi-window and floating window support, together with AI tools have been updated to integrate and optimize the folded or unfolded screen that’s in use.

This new launch is just 6 months after the introduction of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, indicating the company’s drive to solidify its leadership position within the smartphone market.

Qualcomm claims a 10% higher CPU performance and a 30% improvement in power efficiency for the CPU. This addresses any issues regarding poor battery life and throttling.
